HRABC actively encourages its members to become PHR, SPHR, GPHR certified and to remain certified once that is achieved. The following information is provided to help members pursue their professional objectives.

2009 HR Certification Study Groups

 HRABC assists members in attaining their professional certification by coordinating facilitator-led study groups to prepare for their respective certification exams.
 
These groups are scheduled only when sufficient interest is shown by those needing them and there are at least six (6) people who have indicated a desire to attend any given group.
 
Study groups are usually strategically located to take into consideration the geographical diversity of those attending. To minimize the cost of these groups, participants are encouraged to consider hosting a study group at there work location, utilizing a conference area..
 
These study groups are free to HRABC members, but for non-members, there is a cost

Recertification

Is your recertification cycle creeping up on you? Are you concerned about not earning enough credits or where to get those credits?
 
Now Available: HRCI on-line searchable directory of pre-approved programs. Choose from chapter activities, conferences, workshop, college or on-line classes and more…Easily locate options in your area.
 
  

Workshops

Recertification credits (usually 2 credits) can also be achieved by attending one of the HRABC pre-monthly meeting workshops. These workshops are usually scheduled from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, the second Wednesday of each month, prior to the regularly scheduled HRABC monthly meeting.
 
The topics of these workshops are designed both to serve the HR professional and advance the HR profession.
