The HRABC Association is a 100% volunteer entity whose primary objective is to support the mission and initiatives of SHRM through education. In addition to supporting its individual membership, HRABC acts as a resource for local human resource professionals and provides on-going general information and guidance. HRABC is a conduit for human resources professionals to network and share their knowledge with others from Broward and surrounding counties.

Our annual conference is the preeminent event for human resources professionals in South Florida. Next year’s event promises to provide informational and educational opportunities of the highest quality to HR professionals.

  • Over 15 Educational Sessions, including Keynotes and Strategic Series programs
  • An Exhibition with over 30 exhibitors participating
  • Attendance of over 260 human resources professionals

Concurrent Educational Sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes.

HRABC has a tradition of using educational conference sessions as a platform for innovation in the field of human resource management. We look for contributors who are willing to share their expertise without expectation of payment in the spirit of networking, a purpose for which HRABC was founded. We believe that the size and decision making authority of our audience provides an outstanding opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts with a targeted HR audience.

HRABC strives to offer a balanced program by selecting proposals that best fit within the framework of the conference. The programs selected will be based upon the SHRM body of knowledge, the HR competency model, and major socioeconomic trends shaping the workplace.  Alternative views and counterpoint issues are welcome, particularly when lessons learned from first-hand experience are offered as models/examples.

Conference attendees will have access to all concurrent session presentations (via web.) If you wish to provide printed handouts, speakers are responsible for providing their own copies. While handouts to those attending your session are not required, a large majority of our speakers provide them and attendees greatly appreciate them.   If you are selected to present, we will provide you with information on where to ship your handouts prior to the conference if you wish to do so.

Presenters are expected to:
  • Meet all deadlines
  • Retain session content and audio visual needs as originally submitted
  • Not add a co-presenter or change the identity of presenters without permission from HRABC
  • Honor HRABC’s commitment to provide education by not showcasing or promoting the speaker’s practice, services, or products
  • Deliver an original product
  • Respect HRABC as the sponsoring organization with either positive or neutral comments from the platform

In return, HRABC will provide to the primary speaker:

  • A complimentary conference registration for the day you are speaking, including admission to the Exhibition and educational sessions. Pre-conference workshops and evening social events are excluded. All other expenses are the responsibility of the speaker.
  • If you are a published author, HRABC will make every effort to have your publication available in the conference bookstore (provided on-site by Borders.)
  • Grant you valuable professional exposure
  • Provide you with a copy of the evaluations from your session(s)
